The new Borche BS60 ton machine was bought by RGE Group to fill a gap in capacity within this machine size range, the machine will be utilized by the company to run an array of small and dimensionally accurate mouldings from electronic timer buttons to sealing elements on polycarbonate displays for essential oxygen cylinders for the NHS.
RGE Group operate a range of machines up to and including 3000 ton, the company find that the small machines compliment the large machine production in that very often the larger components also have mating parts such as clips or buttons where low tonnage and shot capacity is required.
In selecting the new Borche BS60 machine the company was particularly drawn to the energy efficiency of the machine as a result of the utilization of Servo Motor Drive Technology in which therefore will reduce power consumption together with water cooling requirements.
The installation of the new BS60 machine marks the start of a multi-million-pound investment program for RGE in new machinery and equipment throughout 2021, a further three new Borche machines up to 700 ton are due to be installed at one of RGE Group’s other production sites within the UK shortly.
