RGE Group have made a major investment in excess of £1 million at the company’s white goods factory site in Yate, Bristol. This investment has allowed RGE to streamline its production in the factory, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The company have taken delivery of four new Borche machines, two new Borche BU700 ton machines together with a new 120 ton and with the remaining machine installed at the firms other manufacturing base in Whittlesey, Peterborough. All the machines came complete with Sepro Robots together with the latest associated ancillaries.

 

The RGE production facility at Yate supply finished key moulded components direct to their customer’s assembly line on site. RGE Group have been supplying their white goods customer for many years and is very highly regarded as a long-term supply partner.

The new Borche BU700 ton machines are of the Two Platen design which are very compact in terms of machine footprint. The machines also employ Servo motor drive and are therefore extremely energy efficient and this was a major factor of influence in making the decision to choose Borche. The machines are also equipped with the Auto Tie Bar removal system for ease of tool loading etc.

RGE have been established since 1965 and remain a family-owned business. During this time the directors have built up an empire of which includes three manufacturing locations in the UK together with several overseas operations including plants in Lithuania and China.

 

Across the group RGE have a production capacity of over 150 moulding machines up to 3150 tons. The company are able to offer a full component design service together with a fully equipped inhouse toolroom and mould making facility as well as printing, labelling and product assembly capabilities.

In addition to white goods RGE also serve a wide range of other market sectors and have also established a number of in-house own branded products within office furniture and chair bases as well as various products for material handling applications including crates, pallets and containers.
